investiere announces closing of DomoSafety’s CHF 600’000 round

Lausanne/Zug, November 13, 2012 – EPFL-based start-up DomoSafety offers extended autonomy and peace of mind at home to the elderly, thanks to its intelligent care system. DomoSafety and its financing partner investiere announce the closing of DomoSafety’s round A of financing over CHF 600’000.

This financing round is a success for both, DomoSafety and investiere (www.investiere.ch). This collaboration allowed DomoSafety to fully reach its financing target. investiere’s community of private investors investing in the most promising Swiss start-ups makes up the biggest contributor of this financing round, with an amount of CHF 230’000. The rest of the capital was provided by other private investors including members of BAS Romandie.

DomoSafety and investiere have been collaborating throughout the financing round by activating their respective networks, assuring the necessary funding for DomoSafety to implement its business plan. Edouard Goupy, DomoSafety’s CEO and founder, comments: “investiere’s investors were really helpful in not only demonstrating a strong and early interest in our business, but also converting these interests in actual investments, ranging from CHF 10’000 to 50’000 individually.”

The investiere platform allows to bring together all the participants of a financing round. Julien Pache, Partner at investiere, explains: “The transparency of our platform supports our investors in their investment decision. It allowed potential investors to observe the evolution of DomoSafety’s round and see that the founders too were able to activate private investors from their own personal networks.”

Many interactions between investors and the entrepreneurs took place online through the investiere platform. Julien Pache: “The opinions of other investors on an investment opportunity are critical for the investor; and being able to follow the evolution of a financing round as well as the latest achievements of the start-up in real time considerably influences the investor’s final choice”.

By also becoming a shareholder of DomoSafety, Verve Capital Partners AG (operator of investiere) proves its ongoing belief in the potential of this start-up. investiere will further support DomoSafety by giving access to its network, and accompany DomoSafety closely on the path to success.
