Agilentia, the company behind Sherpany, an online investor and governance management platform, just closed an oversubscribed investment round to the tune of CHF 1.84 million, 500’000 of which hailed from investiere’s investor community. Despite having secured sufficient funds from other investors, Agilentia wanted investiere on board because of our high caliber investor network. This is the 2nd financing round for Agilentia that investiere has participated in.
Sherpany is a web-based e-voting and investor relations platform that connects shareholders with their companies during the year and specifically for the annual general meetings. Sherpany also includes an online board room which is specifically designed for confidential information exchange via mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet and significantly facilitates board meetings.
Agilentia is already generating seven-digit revenues from its clients that include the likes of Nestlé, Novartis, Zurich Insurance Group, Swiss Re and numerous other large companies. Given these notable customers, Agilentia had no problem securing significant funds. However, beyond additional capital, Agilentia was also seeking strategic investors with corporate networks to help the company grow its client base.
Although Agilentia had its investment needs covered through existing and other new investors, investiere was approached by the company to present this investment opportunity to the investiere-community, due to the high quality networks and experience of our investors. Within three weeks, key investors from our platform had committed to invest a total of CHF 500’000. As current and former senior executives and board members of some of Switzerland’s largest corporations, these investors have direct access to decision-makers in leading Swiss corporations and can thus significantly help drive Agilentia’s sales efforts.
This successful financing round is yet another great example of our commitment to helping entrepreneurs obtain smart money. Our mission is not only about offering private investors access to promising startups, but also about helping these startups gain access to high quality investors that bring more than just money to the table.
